About Us

I have been an avid user of Paintshop Pro since version 7. Although i always prefered PSP9, I can work in all versions. I have background in teaching adults and children in various settings which leads to a great ability to explain a task or a project in sequential steps with attention to details. This is sure to help make all the tutorials in the Campus, very easy to understand, even for those who are not familiar with Paintshop Pro. In 2003 I started writing tutorials for scrapbooking with PSP.

Being very involved with the use of Paintshop Pro, in 2011, I was invited to join the beta testing team for Corel, for the PSP version X4 which came out in September 2011. The same year, I was also invited to be a contributing user for the Corel newsletter “In Focus”. Although I use mostly PSP9 (as I am coding scripts for PSP, and that version makes it easier to get them compatible with all versions), I have all the versions, from 8 to X6 installed and can use either one.

I do a little photo editing on my own photos, mostly for scrapbooking purpose as I do some, when I have time, but I am more interested in the technical part of the program. That is what led me to become a tutorial writer, and a scripter. I have written over 200 scripts ranging from the simple Ricrac ribbon, to complex coded scripts that incorporate advanced Python language commands to execute a large array of tools mostly for scrappers and for designers. I strongly believe that Paintshop Pro is an easy program to manage for beginners and powerful enough for advanced users yet it is too often under-valued, under-utilized and under-appreciated. A lot of resources are readily available for other softwares while fewer are meant for Paintshop Pro users. It is time to change that!

What do I do when I am not sitting at my computer (or at work)? I do Geocaching. You know, that high tech treasure hunt with GPS. I started that about 3 years ago. I am not a huge fan going out geocaching under any weather conditions, but I like to do that, as a little outing with my husband or my kids. The other thing I do is karate. I have done that for 14 years now, earning my black belt in 2007 in shotokan style (non-contact).
